Ein neuartiger, kurzgepulster, ortsbeweglicher Nd:YAG-Laser mit einer Pulsdauer von 650\u00a0\u03bcs hat sich als sicher und effektiv zur Haarentfernung erwiesen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus bietet er den zus\u00e4tzlichen Vorteil einer sanfteren und dennoch wirksamen Behandlung, bei der keine Gele, kein Hautkontakt mit dem Laser, keine An\u00e4sthesie und oft keine K\u00fchlung erforderlich sind. Es gibt eine Reihe von Studien zur Wirksamkeit verschiedener Lasersysteme zur Haarentfernung und PFB-Behandlung. Einige Studien weisen nur kleine Stichprobengr\u00f6\u00dfen auf, und die Nachbeobachtung ist manchmal unzureichend. Die meisten Studien verwenden als Ma\u00df f\u00fcr das Ergebnis die mittlere L\u00e4sionszahl und die prozentuale Haarreduktion. Bei einer kleinen Studie mit dem Nd:YAG-0,65-ms-Laser wurde eine H\u00e4lfte jeder Achselh\u00f6hle von sechs Patientinnen behandelt und die andere H\u00e4lfte wurde als Kontrolle \u00fcberwacht.38 Die jeweiligen Behandlungsseiten wurden mit einer Fluenz von entweder 21\u00a0J\/cm2 oder 36\u00a0J\/cm2 behandelt. Vor der Behandlung und bei jeder Nachuntersuchung wurde eine manuelle Haarz\u00e4hlung durchgef\u00fchrt. Vier Monate nach vier monatlichen Behandlungen bewerteten Studienteilnehmer und Wissenschaftler die Haarreduktion auf der Seite mit hoher Fluenz mit einer F\u00fcnf (Reduktion von 75\u00a0% bis 100\u00a0%) und auf der Seite mit niedriger Fluenz mit einer Vier (Reduktion von 50\u00a0% bis 75\u00a0%).
