Derselbe Zehennagel, der von demselben Patienten kurz vor der 1064-nm-Nd:YAG-Behandlung entnommen wurde, w\u00fcrde innerhalb von 2 bis 4\u00a0Wochen ab dem Datum der Probenahme Kolonien bilden. Dies hat zur Folge, dass der Laser eine wesentliche Rolle bei der Beseitigung von Nagelpilz spielt, indem er die anf\u00e4lligen Repr\u00e4sentationen des Organismus sch\u00e4digt. Bei dieser begrenzten Studie kann die Wirkung der Laserbehandlung auf das Pilzwachstum, von dem Nagelplatte und Nagelbett betroffen sind, nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Vor der Laserbehandlung wiesen die Zehennagelproben aller 4\u00a0Nagelplatten Pilzwachstum auf.
