Laut Studien berichten Patienten mit Pigmentst\u00f6rungen, dass sie sich unsicher und unattraktiv f\u00fchlen und dass ihr Zustand ihre t\u00e4glichen Aktivit\u00e4ten beeintr\u00e4chtigt. Au\u00dferdem bem\u00fchen sie sich, ihren Zustand zu verbergen, damit andere nicht darauf aufmerksam werden<sup>(1)<\/sup>. Zwar k\u00f6nnen Menschen aller Hauttypen von Melasma betroffen sein, jedoch sind vor allem Frauen mit dunklerer Haut (Fitzpatrick III bis VI) \u00f6fter davon betroffen<sup>(2)<\/sup>. Dies kann eine Therapie f\u00fcr eine bereits schwer zu behandelnde chronische Erkrankung noch weiter erschweren<sup>(3)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Melasma ist ein immer h\u00e4ufiger auftretendes Leiden. Einige dermatologische Zentren bezeichnen das Leiden als die am h\u00e4ufigsten beobachtete Erkrankung neben Akne<sup>(4)<\/sup>. Ein gro\u00dfer Prozentsatz dieser Bev\u00f6lkerung sucht jedoch keine Behandlung, haupts\u00e4chlich weil sie sich der Behandlungsoptionen nicht bewusst ist.<sup>(5)<\/sup>. Traditionell wurde Melasma in der klinischen Umgebung in Form von Hydrochinon oder anderen topischen Verbindungen, chemischen Peelings, Mikrodermabrasion oder g\u00fctegeschalteten Lasern behandelt<sup>(3)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Aufbauend auf diesen traditionellen Behandlungsoptionen entwickelte Aerolase mit der klinischen Expertise der in Washington DC ans\u00e4ssigen Dermatologin Cheryl Burgess, MD, ein zweistufiges \u201eOne-Two-Punch\u201c-Protokoll, um Melasma bei allen Hauttypen in einer einzigen Behandlungssitzung wirksam zu behandeln. Die Aerolase-Technologie des Nd:YAG-Lasers mit einer Pulsdauer von 650\u00a0\u03bcs und einer Wellenl\u00e4nge von 1064\u00a0nm bietet eine L\u00f6sung, um das tiefere dermale Melanin und die vaskul\u00e4ren Komponenten<sup>(6)<\/sup> von Melasma zu behandeln und gleichzeitig das epidermale Pigment aufzubrechen. Die Laserenergie wird mit einer Fluenz von bis zu 28\u00a0J\/cm<sup>2<\/sup> \u00fcber den gesamten Gesichtsbereich aufgebracht. Dann wird je nach Hauttyp und Hautzustand des Patienten entweder ein leichtes bis mittleres chemisches Peeling oder ein Hydrochinonpr\u00e4parat aufgetragen, um die verbleibende epidermale Pigmentierung zu behandeln.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201eAufgrund der Eindringtiefe und Pulsgeschwindigkeit des Lasers konnten wir mit dem Neo gro\u00dfe Erfolge beim Entfernen von Hautpigmentierung erzielen\u201c, so Dr. Burgess. \u201eDann verbinden wir das (gew\u00f6hnlich) mit einem chemischen Peeling oder Hydrochinon, um eine neue Epidermis zu erzeugen und um oberfl\u00e4chliche Pigmentprobleme zu beseitigen.
